As noted on the "Divine Names" title page, the Apostles never called our Saviour by the name "Jesus". "Yeshua" is an Aramaic
corruption of "Yah Shua" and is used in the Jewish Talmud as a means to insult our Saviour! Aramaic was the "everyday"
language of Judea during Roman times. At this time, Hebrew was spoken primarily by Jews when discussing religious matters.
Indeed, Paul writes that if he didn't write his epistles in Hebrew that the other Jews wouldn't take him seriously!
